General Rules
Be on time to Class
If you are attending Multiple classes, bring a change of clothes for each class.
Safety is priority, be mindful of yourself and your partner and avoid injuries.
Fingers and toenails must be short and trimmed.
No shoes on the mat, no bare feet in the restrooms.
Be kind to all student, training is more fun with friends
If you are sick, have ringworm, or staph please stay home to prevent spreading.
If you have any sensitive spots from injuries or medical conditions make your partner aware to prevent injuries.

UCS does not provide beginner-level classes. This is because our approach integrates learning not only from instructors but also from seasoned peers. Every student is carefully paired to ensure optimal learning, guaranteeing that everyone gains insights from the most suitable source of expertise.

If you don’t have any equipment we got you covered. We have extra equipment for new students to borrow.

We advise all new students to spar and your partner will move at subtable pace for your level.

You may want to eat something light before class, but training with a full stomach may not be a good idea similar to going for a run on a full stomach.

For most classes you will begin with a warmup and some drilling. We will then move on to learning and drilling a specific technique. We will then end the class with sparing.
What Should I Wear?

Jiu-Jitsu Gi & Belt. Can be any color gi, any brand, patches not required. Must have 1 white gi for ceremonies. Mouthpiece recommended.
No jewelry (including piercings). No shoes, socks, karate gis/belts, no ripped/torn clothing or equipment
